Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) at WIN

At Waanverse Investment Network (WIN), security is our top priority. MFA is mandatory to protect your account and investments.

Why MFA is Required

To protect your account, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is mandatory before you can access any other pages or functionalities within WIN. This ensures that only you can log in to your account, even if someone else knows your password.

By enabling MFA, your account remains protected across all platforms, including the web. A hacker would need both your password and access to your trusted device or recovery codes to gain entry.

What is MFA and How Does It Work?

MFA is an additional layer of security that requires users to provide two or more forms of authentication before gaining access to their accounts. At WIN, this works by requiring:

  • Something You Know – Your password
  • Something You Have – A one-time authentication code generated by an authentication app

Setting Up MFA on WIN

When you navigate to the MFA setup page in WIN, you will have two options:

  • Scan a QR Code – If you have an authentication app installed, you can simply scan the QR code displayed on the setup page
  • Use a Secret Key – If scanning is not an option, you can manually enter the provided secret key

Understanding Recovery Codes

MFA adds strong security, but what happens if you lose access to your authentication device? This is where recovery codes come in:

  • WIN provides a set of 10 unique recovery codes during MFA setup
  • Each recovery code can only be used once
  • You can find your recovery codes under Security Settings > MFA
  • It is highly recommended to download and store these codes securely

Lost Access?

If you lose access to your MFA device and do not have recovery codes:

  • Contact WIN Support at [email protected]
  • Our team will verify your identity
  • Once verified, we will reset your MFA settings
